Key to the City Productions is a Tony Award-winning multimedia production company with a mission to tell inspiring and heartwarming stories that connect with the whole family. Founded in 2021 by Amanda Lipitz and Henry Tisch, we create work for the stage, screen, and beyond.
We are committed to fostering meaningful stories that may otherwise go untold, focusing on content that entertains, uplifts, and inspires people of all ages. We believe in harnessing the power of storytelling, especially true stories and music-driven content, to make the world a more tolerant, more empathetic, and more joyful place.
PROJECTS
Key to the City Productions is developing more than a dozen projects across live stage, features, series, and audio.
FILM PROJECTS at various stages of development and production include the recently wrapped coming-of-age feature film NICE EGGS starring Jane Krakowski and Angourie Rice, directed by KTTC co-founder Amanda Lipitz, as well as movie musicals, and a narrative feature film adaptation of the documentary STEP.
THEATRICAL PROJECTS for 2026 include the new musical Galileo, written by Danny Strong, Michael Weiner, and Zoe Sarnak and directed by Michael Mayer, which will open on Broadway December 6 at the Shubert Theatre starring Raúl Esparza, Jeremy Kushnier, and Joy Woods.
RECENT stage projects include CATS: The Jellicle Ball on Broadway, Dracula on the West End starring Cynthia Erivo, The Picture of Dorian Gray starring Sarah Snook on London’s West End in 2024 and Broadway in 2025; and the Fall 2023 Broadway revival of Merrily We Roll Along starring Daniel Radcliffe, Jonathan Groff, and Lindsay Mendez (Tony Award, Best Revival of a Musical), which was filmed and released in movie theaters nation wide in December of 2025.
Key to the City Productions also created and produced Shabbat on Broadway, which hosted its inaugural service in January 2024 at the St. James Theatre, and released the music video “Tomorrow” starring Julie Benko and Cantor Azi Schwartz.
